A long standing First Point Group client of over 18 years wanted to purchase a Commercial/Residential mixed property as an investment – Ground Floor Office with a residence up stairs.
Challenges Faced
Being a mixed use Residential/Commercial complex, this meant the purchase transaction was classified as Commercial by Lenders, thereby attracting a higher interest rate and tighter lending standards.
Outcome
The client was comfortable to use their home as security and we were able to re-shape the proposal from Commercial back to Residential, resulting in a much lower rate and saving our client significant funds over the loan term.
